Jamie is a licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist and a mom of two in Pelham, New York. She earned her Master of Science degree from Columbia University where she completed a rigorous academic and clinical program. She is licensed in New York and New Jersey and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She also holds a professional New York State teaching license (TSSLD) with a bilingual extension in Spanish. Prior to graduate school, Jamie attended New York University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology. Jamie holds numerous advanced clinical certifications, including PROMPT, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment, and VitalStim Therapy. She is CPR and BLS certified.
Jamie has 10 years of experience working in a variety of settings including inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, private practice, sub-acute facilities, long term care facilities, school settings and home care. Areas of specialty include evaluation and treatment of receptive and expressive language disorders, cerebral vascular accidents, traumatic brain injuries, degenerative neurological diseases, dysphagia assessment and intervention, articulation disorders, fluency treatment, pragmatic language therapy, PROMPT, and literacy skill intervention. She encourages family and caregiver involvement and provides extensive education and training to communication partners.
