Jamie Hellen is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 15 years of experience working with children and adults across a wide range of clinical and educational settings. Based in Westchester County, New York, Jamie is also a mom of two and understands the importance of providing therapy that is not only evidence-based, but practical, individualized, and meaningful to each client and family.

Jamie earned her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Columbia University, where she completed extensive academic and clinical training. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from New York University. Jamie is licensed in both New York and New Jersey and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She also holds a New York State professional teaching certificate (TSSLD) with a bilingual extension in Spanish.

Throughout her career, Jamie has worked in school settings, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, private practice, sub-acute and long-term care facilities, home care, and other clinical settings. This diverse experience has allowed her to work with clients across the lifespan and with a broad range of communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs. Her areas of expertise include receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation and speech sound disorders, fluency, pragmatic and social communication, literacy and language-based learning skills, cognitive-communication disorders, aphasia, traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, and dysphagia. Jamie has also completed advanced training in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), PROMPT and VitalStim Therapy.

Jamie believes that successful therapy extends beyond the treatment session. She values collaboration with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals and provides education and practical strategies that help clients carry their skills into everyday life. Above all, her goal is to help each client communicate with greater confidence, independence, and success.
